Our bodies are our gardens; our wills are our gardeners.

Who am I?
I’m Felice — a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN/RD) who specializes in Women’s Health. I am a leader at a telehealth startup, Allara. We serve women with hormonal and metabolic conditions, and I oversee all of our talented dietitians.
There is nothing I desire more than a long and meaningful life. To me, concepts of health and wellbeing are in perfect congruence with the health and wellbeing of our communities and planet. To take care of oneself, you take care of others, if even simply through example. Geez, I’m quoting a lot here, but something that constantly sticks with me is “As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same" from A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.
I’m not a philosopher, so I’ll get to the point: I completed my BS of Nutrition at Syracuse University, and went on to complete my MS of Clinical Nutrition and dietetic internship at the University at Buffalo. During my time at UB, I completed my thesis on nutrition and counseling approaches for PCOS. This ultimately ended me up at Allara, a telehealth company dedicated initially to those with the condition. Now, we treat many hormonal and metabolic conditions that commonly affect women.
I practice nutrition from the intersection of one’s dietary patterns, lifestyle, mental well-being, and relationship with their body and movement. I integrate principles of mindful or intuitive eating, weight neutrality, and a deep respect for all bodies, at every turn. My primary goal is helping people find both joy and optimal health through food. I aim to teach patients not just what to eat, but how to eat in a way that can support their health through every lifestage.
As for my personal background, I grew up in a tight-knit family from Rochester, NY. Since before I could remember, my life was always about food. We have a motto: if you’re big enough to hold a spoon, you’re big enough to cook. Involvement from all members of the clan was highly encouraged. My earliest memories are sitting on a barstool at my grandmother’s countertop, preparing ingredients and dishes in the weeks leading up to holiday meals. As I grew older, I saw my mom expressing her creativity and relieving her stress through preparing elaborate meals, even on weeknights — I still can’t figure out how she did it. Through our matriarchs, my siblings and I inadvertently learned to do the same.
Food isn’t the only love of my life. I have a husband, Rolf, who loves to explore new restaurants, cuisines, and flavors of the world with me. I fill my cup with any and all types of movement, nature, and playing with our droopy Basset Hounds, Estelle & Magnolia.
